It is important to know that Hoverdays is a bit different to the other outdoor activity places that offer hovercrafting. We do not go over the top with health and safety, watching boring videos, then shuffling you from one area to the next. You arrive, you listen to the 5 minute talk given on a hovercraft, and you start hovering. Solo. Right then, right there!
If you have a hovercraft racing voucher, you will get approximately ½ hour of hovercraft flying, though you may be here for an hour and a half in your group. This costs £49 and there are no other charges. The ½ hour hovercraft flying part is very important when checking other companies. Also consider what other things to do are in the area.
Wildcat (£11 for approx 6 minutes)
Good company, well run and experienced. We would recommend Wildcat for hovercraft racing. Not so many other outdoor activities available for packages, stag and hen weekends etc but very
focused on the hovercraft racing.
Flying fish (£65 for approximately 40 minutes)
Another good outdoor activity company, also a manufacturer of hovercrafts. Ivan has made a few of our craft and we know the company well. We would recommend flying fish to anyone too.
Last Night of Freedom
This is an outdoor activity agency. Booking through an agency is fine. If you are partial to paying 3rd parties large sums of money for making the same phone call you could make yourself, agencies are just the ticket. There are a few other outdoor activity places that offer hovercraft racing but we don't know a lot about them or have any details. If you discover another, always remember to ask how much time you get on the craft, flying solo.
